Over the weekend, British Divers Marine Life Rescue attended the Go Diving Show 2026 at Stoneleigh, where our team spent two fantastic days speaking with visitors about marine mammal rescue and the work carried out by our volunteers around the UK coastline.
The event provided a brilliant opportunity to meet hundreds of passionate ocean-lovers, many who stopped by the BDMLR display stand to learn more about how Marine Mammal Medics respond to marine mammals in distress, from seals resting on beaches to stranded dolphins and whales.
Visitors were also able to find out more about our newly launched Marine Mammal Medic courses for 2026, with many people taking their first steps towards becoming trained responders and joining the growing network of volunteers helping marine life across the UK.
The weekend was also a great success for fundraising, with visitors supporting BDMLR through merchandise and donations. In fact, demand was so high that several items sold out over the course of the event.
Events like the Go Diving Show are an important way for us to connect with the public, share knowledge about marine wildlife, and encourage more people to become involved in assisting marine animals.
BDMLR would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who came to visit the stand, spoke with our volunteers, supported the charity, or shared their own marine wildlife experiences with the team over the weekend.
If you missed out on any merchandise at the show, you can still browse available items in the BDMLR online shop!
