Apache Corporation has announced a £20,000 sponsorship deal with BDMLR, allowing the charity to buy and maintain rescue equipment, and carry out vital rescue work and treatment of marine animals.

Apache’s sponsorship provides critical support for BDMLR’s ongoing rescue operations. It will fund additional protective equipment for Medics. Provide three new trailers in Argyll, Northumbria, and on the south coast of England, ensuring rescue teams in those areas can respond quickly and efficiently to stranding incidents. And it will support BDMLR’s seal hospital in Cornwall ensuring a supply of fish for rescued seal pups over the coming winter.

This partnership will enhance BDMLR’s capacity to respond to marine emergencies and further its mission to preserve marine biodiversity.

“BDMLR is delighted to accept this meaningful donation to help provide the very best rescue service possible for marine wildlife. The trailers will help us transport vital rescue equipment quickly and efficiently to areas where it is needed,” said BDMLR Chairman, Alan Knight OBE.

“We work every day to reduce our environmental footprint, enhance the safety of our operations and partner with our communities to create long-lasting value,” said Apache’s UK Country Manager, Jillian Owen. “Protecting species and their habitats in the areas where we operate is a priority for Apache and our biodiversity and environmental stewardship commitments. BDMLR and its volunteers do incredible work every day to protect our marine life and we are proud to support its rescue operations across the UK. The partnership between BDMLR and Apache is a testament to the power of collaboration in achieving a sustainable future for our planet’s precious marine life.”

Apache Corporation is a leader in the oil and natural gas exploration and production sector. This partnership marks a commitment to the protection of marine life and the environment, reflecting a shared dedication to sustainability and community support.
