While celebrations took place in the UK over the bank holiday, our staff team Julia, Dan, Natalie and Molly instead had the time to attend the two-day annual Seal Rescue Conference, which this year was hosted by our friends over at Zeehondencentrum Pieterburen in the Netherlands.
It was a great event with lots of informative presentations from colleagues across seal rescue and rehabilitation networks Europe, opportunities for discussion and of course it was lovely to see our friends in person for the first time in over two years!
Natalie and Dan both had presentations to share, giving overviews of the building and first season operation of the BDMLR Cornwall Seal Hospital, and of the management of Wally the wayward walrus last summer respectively!
