Huge Thanks to The Debs Foundation

A huge thank you to ‘The Debs Foundation’

We are extremely grateful to ‘The Debs Foundation’ who recently got in touch and offered to make a donation for the purchase of some new pieces of veterinary and rescue equipment.

With their kind donation of £1,066 we have purchased:

  • Two veterinary blood glucose measuring devices- used for detecting life-threatening hypoglycaemia in seal pups
  • Two large boxes of oral rehydration sachets- an essential part of first aid for seal pups who are often seriously dehydrated
  • A set of veterinary platform weighing scales for obtaining accurate weight measurements
  • Six BDMLR seal bags- specially designed bags used by our Marine Mammal Medics to safely transport seal pups off the beach

There is no doubt that these crucial supplies and equipment will help us to continue to provide a high level of care to the seal pups we rescue. At uncertain times like these donations are hugely appreciated and we pass on our sincere thanks to the team at ‘The Debs Foundation’ from everyone at British Divers Marine Life Rescue.
